Time to Recharge!

I've been thinking these last couple weeks as I've been sick. I've gotten so weak- not only physically, but mentally a little bit. I've had the hardest time motivating myself to get back to work! I don't know if it's the fact that I'm still feeling weak from being sick, or the weather, or if I'm sleeping too much or not enough but I've been so lazy and it's starting to show!
Yesterday, I was teaching Zumba at UVU and my endurance was shot and on top of feeling like I was going to die and remembering I STILL had 3 classes more to teach, I looked over my shoulder to see the worst thing ever.. something I worked all last year to lose come back...

An arm jiggle.

I had a double take and then checked out the other arm and it was the same! JIGGLE!?

So now I'm back. I'm still pretty "Fit" and still in the "Athlete" category, but I've lost a lot of tone and like I mentioned before, endurance since my appendectomy in November.

Being sick, I lost 12 lbs last week, but I don't think it was pounds from fat at all. Just water and other nutrients my body needed. Now I'm lacking in Iron and a lot of vitamins that I need. Bummer.

This morning though, my sweet husband woke me up and then after dragging my feet for about an hour and downing my Greek yogurt and figured out my workout schedule for today, and bought some new tunes. Then I was off. Can I just say that Katy Perry's new song "Part of Me" is the BEST to get the blood pumping and get you working so hard!

I  started my workout with my old warm up (10 jumping jacks, 10 sumo squat jacks, 10 burpes) that I always began my workouts with and added "inch worms"  from one end of the gym to the other (One way) and sprinted back, and continued with the craziest back work out ever. I pushed myself to have the hardest workout I've had in months. The thing about being a personal trainer, is you spend so much time worrying about the people I'm training, that I forget all about myself. I've forgotten how to motivate myself and workout to the feeling of tears or throwing up and to the feeling of leaving out of breath and already sore.

Thankfully I made sure that today I left with all off those above feelings but above all the feeling of success and that I again did a hard thing. I'm again back on track and excited to get the okay from medical professionals saying that my insides are 100% ready for me to recover and make my comeback into the world of fitness.

On another note, how was your Valentines day!?

The husband and I had an excellent week so far celebrating! We didn't think we'd see each other last night because Scott has school, so we started Monday night with a romantic, "home made" Domino's pizza and a few episodes of Scrubs. I just love being with my boy no matter what we're doing!

Yesterday I made a point to see him after Zumba and even though I was gross and sweaty, he made time to take me to lunch at Sonic which is one of our fast food favorites, (You see why I've gained those arm jiggles? Dominos? SONIC?) and then I went home to clean.

I also while Scott was at "school" and work, I took off to get other things to get Valentines going for when he got home. I got sushi from Osaka in Provo and a few other... things... ;) haha and came home to find the most BEAUTIFUL roses sitting next to a supper cuddly bear and chocolate covered strawberries.. What can I say.. This man takes care of me! Haha! All that and he printed a HUGE one of  my favorite wedding day pictures to hang up! It's the first of our wedding pictures we've printed so it was so amazing to think he thinks of the little things like a picture that he knows I'll love! He knows how to tug at my heart strings! Finished the night off with Orlando Bloom in Elizabethtown and that was it. What an amazing boy I have! He spoils me! my main question was how is he gonna top this next year!? Haha he never ceases to amaze me.

Men, if there are any who even read this blog, take note. We ladies love when you think of all the little things. My Scotty is an incredible listener. That's one of the things I just love about him. He hears you. Love that boy so so much!!

Anyway, time to report back to my wifely duties! Making Shrimp tacos tonight!!
Love you all! Go buy that Katy Perry song!
